Things to do in El Nido Palawan, Philippines
El Nido is located on the north tip of Palawan Island. Together with Coron and Siargao, it´s one of the most visited places in the Philippines. We recommend spending here 3-5 days, depending on your time budget.

El Nido Island hopping tour
At least one island hopping tour is the MUST-DO when travelling to El Nido Philippines.
Tour boat from El Nido will take you to Bacuit Bay. It ´s a protected bay consisting of 45 breathtaking islands and together creating the most beautiful destination in the world. All these places you get to see on one of 4 island hopping tours which are the main reason for people to visit El Nido.
Kayaking around El Nido
Rent a kayak from the same spot where your island hopping tour starts and explore hidden beaches around Cadlao Island. Start early in the morning to avoid other tourists and for a unique experience, ask for a see-through kayak!
Rent a scooter in El Nido
El Nido has quite a few beaches on the north side of the island which are waiting to be explored. Rent a scooter in El Nido town for around 400 PHP a day and make your own adventure.
Play basketball with local kids
Basketball is super popular in the Philippines. There are basketball rings literally everywhere. You can find them on the beach, on the road, in the palm tree fields and there are always some lovely kids you can join for a game or two.
Zipline between islands on El Nido
From Las Cabanas beach you can take a zip line between El Nido and little Island just next to it. It costs 500 PHP per person and you need to get there before 4 pm. To get to the starting point there is a 10 minute long steep walk up but it will be all worth the cool experience!
Duli Beach El Nido
Duli beach is less known pristine white sandy beach north from El Nido. By bike, it will take you around 1 hour and once you get there, you can relax or get a surf lesson.
Entrance fee: 50 PHP (1.5 AUD)
Taraw cliff really is not for everyone. It´s a 2-hour long tough hike on very sharp rocks. Proper shoes and guide are recommended. But once you get on the top though, you will get to admire the whole El Nido from its highest point!
Nacpan beach is 45 minutes from El Nido with a lot of beach shacks selling drinks and food. It´s very long coastline filled with hundreds of palm trees and white sand. It´s definitely more popular beach than Duli Beach, but if you walk up or down a little bit, the crowds spread and it doesn’t feel as touristy anymore.
Sunset at Las Cabanas
Finish off your day at sunset beach! Las Cabanas is the closest beach to El Nido town and the most touristy as well. There are many shops, restaurants, beach shacks and sunbeds available.
