A little secret spot we got recommended by Indonesian people living and working at our accommodation on Nusa Penida Island. And we didn’t regret for a second that we decided to visit!
When we were told about this natural pool in the middle of the jungle we didn’t expect to find a place like this! Tembeling Beach, Forest and Nature Pool consists of two beaches and two natural pools just casually lying in the deepest jungle we have walked through!
How to get to Tembeling Beach and Forest Nature Pool
From the main road, you will see a small sign and a few local boys sitting in the joglo. They will probably warn you about the very bad conditions of the road down. If you are confident on a scooter, it shouldn’t be such a problem for you as long as you will slow and carefully. Otherwise, you can walk which is a possible but fairly long walk or those boys up the road will offer you a ride down.
Once you will get on the very end of the road where you can’t go any further with your bike, you will see the stairs down.
Tembeling Beach and Nature Pool Nusa Penida
At the bottom of the stairs first, you will get to emerald colour nature pool in the middle of the jungle! After a quick refreshing swim we couldn’t resist but keep walking down towards the sound of the ocean.
Another view you will get to see is one hidden beach on the right filled with hundreds of rocky towers. Be careful if you would decide to have a swim there as the waves can be huge and unpredictable!
Few more steps and you will see another nature pool with ocean views and a beach just next to it! You can spend here a good few hours and there still will be something to explore and admire.
Entrance fee Tembeling Beach and Forest
It’s completely for free! There is no entrance fee either parking fee.
