Best time to visit Rome – When to visit Rome
Rome is good to visit any time of the year, each part of the year has its magic!
For warmer weather, the best months would be March to October so you avoid the European winter.
Our favorite time to visit this part of Europe would be Spring – March to May, early Summer – June, July, or early Autumn – September.
That´s when the temperatures are the best for long walks around the city. Warm and sunny but not too hot!
The busiest months are usually during the European Summer holidays – July and August, being the hottest as well.

The main airport is Fiumicino International Airport “Leonardo da Vinci”. From there you can get a train for 8-14 EUR per person to the Subway station.
How to get around Rome, Italy
Rome has a very well organized and easily accessible public transport system. Our favorite was using a subway – metro.
A single ticket lasting 30 minutes costs 1.5 EUR. With this ticket, you can´t leave the metro and then use it again even though you are still within the time limit.
Another good option is using buses. Their stations are spread more throughout the city center of Rome. Tickets for the bus cost the same 1,5 EUR and you can buy them in every small Tabacco shop or newspaper stand.
